The EU Data Act (Data Act) is a regulation that enables users of connected products and related services to access certain data generated in connection with their use of such products and services. The aim of the Data Act is to strengthen the data economy and give users the opportunity to benefit from the data they generate using the connected products they own, rent, or lease.
The Data Act’s rules on access to data apply to Thermia’s connected devices, such as heat pumps and control panels. The rules also apply to related services provided by Thermia.
Thermia is committed to taking the measures required under the Data Act to provide users with access to the data generated by Thermia’s products and services. The provisions of the Data Act ensure that generated data is made available under clearly defined conditions and in a secure manner – while safeguarding Thermia’s interests, for example with regard to trade secrets and intellectual property rights.
Users subject to the Data Act have the right to access and use certain data generated in connection with their use of connected devices and related services manufactured or provided by the Thermia. Users also have the right to request that such data be shared with third parties. Access, use, and sharing of such data by users and third parties are subject to separate terms and conditions.
